The Missing Team
At Sandy Hook Promise, we know talking about gun violence ain't easy, but talking about football is. So we decided to leverage the buzz generated by the return of EA Sports College Football—after its ten-year hiatus—to raise awareness and give the promising athletes we lost the spotlight they deserved.
That's how we created THE MISSING TEAM, an 11-player team formed by the student-athletes who we lost due to gun violence.
After its creation, we uploaded the team to the game's cloud, so anyone could download it, learn the heartbreaking stories behind every player, and see what could have been for those student-athletes.
